Episode #17 - Max K.
Today's visit was with Max, a soon to be junior at Ohio State and this was an exciting visit because Max was NOT an Eagle News student, he was a student of mine at Scioto Ridge in third grade.
Max did go to Hyatts, but didn't take Eagle News, as he explains in the podcast because his buddies were taking P.E. and he wanted to do that instead of working with the video work in Eagle News.
Max tells a story about how I offered him deodorant to him in third grade because he was coming in from recess really sweating and smelly. When he told me this story, it hit me that you never know what your students remember when you talk to them.
This time with Max was a lot of fun, talking about how he's happy cell phones weren't that big while he was in middle school and now, how he multitasks while studying, his decision to go to OSU, what he remembered at SRES (Math Football and Math Baseball) and what he remembers at Hyatts, a blur and not much according to him.
You can tell that Max is a hard worker, staying very busy and ready to move on to his junior year at OSU. This young man towers over me in height and it was a total blast catching up. Enjoy our conversation.
